Research and Development
The Office of Research and Development ( R&D) is a resource for College
administrators, faculty, students, and the community. Our objective is to
provide evidence and analysis to support College planning, decision-making, and
accountability.
We provide a wide variety of services including: researching funding
opportunities, developing database systems and analysis for funding and accountability; aligning outcomes and programs
to strategic planning; developing action plans to implement strategic plans, designing and developing evaluations, deploying e-surveys; conducting statistical
analysis and reporting; planning and implementing program evaluations; and supporting grant applications.

Renton Technical College is an
Achieving the Dream Leader College. We are also an Achieving the
Dream mentor college to the 10 new Achieving the Dream colleges here in
Washington.
As a mentor college, Research and Development is committed to promoting,
developing tools and systems, and supporting student success and the
growth of evidence-based decision making in community and technical
