Welcome to the Construction Center of Excellence
Throughout Washington there are 11 colleges that have
been designated Centers of Excellence, each focusing on a targeted industry that is strategic to the economic
growth of the state. Renton Technical College is designated by the State Board for Community
and Technical College as the Construction Center of Excellence (CCE). The
CCE is Washington’s innovation hub for education and training, and is a premiere resource
for industry, educators, and colleges.

Opportunities within green building, both environmentally and economically, are
highlighted in a new video created by the Construction Center of
Excellence, Washington Department of Ecology, and the Department of General
