Commercial Building Engineering
This program is designed so students can enroll for mornings, afternoons, or
evenings to better fit their working schedule. Instruction areas include
refrigeration and building systems, boiler operations, and hazardous waste
management. Students learn to regulate and maintain heating, cooling, and
ventilation systems for commercial buildings. An emphasis is placed on
practical experience and hands-on training whenever possible. This
program is a recognized “School of Technology” by the City of Seattle in their
Steam Engineer and Boiler Fireman License Law. This program offers
several industry certifications as well as a Commercial Building Engineering
certificate or an Associate of Applied Science degree in Commercial Building
Engineering.
