Students receive extensive hands-on experience using
the Windows operating system and business software such as Microsoft Office (MS
Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Emphasis is placed on developing oral and
written communication skills, understanding current office procedures, working
in teams, and developing critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
This program provides a foundation for students in preparing for
industry certifications such as MOS®,
and OPAC. Our
graduates are gaining employment fully confident in their abilities to meet the
needs of today’s office in fields such as banking, hi-tech, service,
manufacturing, educational and government agencies. A cooperative education or
internship option is required.
Transfer credit from other institutions will be considered upon validation of
transcript and course work.
