Guitar Repair Technology

Modern guitars and other string instruments are a mixture of art and mechanical precision. Instrument technicians handle that last part, making sure that an instrument is playable, in tune, and reliable. This program prepares students to work as entry-level technicians in fretted instrument shops. Students will learn how to repair, maintain and adjust instruments such as guitars, mandolins and banjos. They will also study work and environmental safety, and how to look for employment.
