Entry Requirements

Students must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.

  • Required before entry were: General Biology course, Anatomy and Physiology course, Math for Health Sciences course or its equivalent, Medical Terminology course, Human Nutrition course, and a current, valid and unencumbered license as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the State of Washington.
  • Students must meet vaccination and program specified health requirements in compliance with the Center for Disease Control Guidelines.
  • Health insurance, both injury and sickness, is required for participation in the clinical portion of the program.
  • Ability to pass the national Criminal background Check.

Program Outcomes

  • Provide safe, competent, effective and efficient care for individuals and groups of patients across the life span;
  • Practice within ethical and legal framework consistent with the licensing laws, the college’s “Code of Conduct”, the ANA Code of Ethics, and standards of nursing practice;
  • Demonstrate the ability to be successful on the National Council Licensing Examination for Licensed Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN exam)
  • Demonstrate proficiency in medication knowledge, calculation, and administration;
