Metacognition and Mindfulness

Second Annual Regional Reading Apprenticeship® Conference

March 11-12, 2016

Renton Technical College
3000 NE 4th Street, Renton, WA 98056

Join us for the second regional Reading Apprenticeship® conference bringing together the leadership from the Reading Apprenticeship Leadership Community of Practice to learn how community college faculty and staff are using Reading Apprenticeship across their campuses.  This powerful framework has gathered momentum in our region by helping faculty and staff approach reading in new and effective ways, empowering students to become expert readers in their fields, and improving the student achievement points through increased retention and persistence.

Why attend?

Reading Apprenticeship at WestEd is a research-based framework that helps community college faculty members support students to become motivated, strategic, and critical readers, thinkers, and writers.

Colleges implementing Reading Apprenticeship find that it can produce a dramatic, positive transformation of students’ engagement and achievement not only in literacy, but also in learning across all academic disciplines.
