The Construction Center of Excellence (CCE) serves as a national model for bringing industry, labor, and education together to develop a highly skilled and diverse workforce. Partnering with stakeholders throughout Washington State, we provide best-in-class resources, training, and information.
To be a model in developing partnerships among business, industry, and education for the purpose of enhancing economic and workforce development initiatives to meet the current and future needs of the construction industry. For Washington State to be vital economically and competitive globally it is essential to provide a skilled workforce to keep and attract the most successful businesses. By connecting educators at every level (K-12, college, apprenticeship) and incumbent workers with industry partners and subject matter experts, our current and future workforce will be ready to meet the industry needs. Social justice is another priority of the CCE, with strategies to close the equity gap and provide greater access and opportunity to these careers to underserved populations, women, and minorities.
