RTC Library Winter Hours
January 4 - March 23, Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
(NOTE: Watch Canvas announcements for library hours updates. The library will always be closed when campus is closed.)
Welcome back to the library! Following state guidelines, current RTC students can now visit the library, use computers, and browse our collection.
To use the library:
- Bring your RTC Student ID card or a schedule showing Summer Quarter classes.
- Fill out a Campus Access form online before you come.
- Wear a mask at all times.
- We encourage you to social distance as much as possible.
And remember, the library offers many services and resources online.
Get Help 24 Hours a Day with AskWA
Need help deciding which database to use, or how to format a citation for a bibliography? Chat with a Librarian is available 24 hours a day.
Book a Librarian
You can also email RTC Librarians with your question, or you can book a time to talk to a librarian and get help (via Zoom or phone) from the librarian of your choice.
Online Materials and Tools
RTC Library has over 60,000 electronic books on almost every subject, and countless online journal and magazine articles. You can search them all at once, using RTC’s OneSearch, or you can go to the RTC Library database page and select individual database such as ProQuest (all subjects), CINAHL (health and wellness) or CREDO (hundreds of encyclopedias and dictionaries to get you started with any subject.)
If you’re looking for online videos, you can also find Kanopy Streaming Service on our RTC Library database page.
From off-campus, you’ll be asked to log in, using your RTC email address and password. Having trouble logging in? Check out the Student Email page.
Returning Books and Equipment
We have extended the due dates of all materials currently checked out until the library is open again and are not currently charging late fees. Please contact us with any questions.
There are two book drops on campus. Both are open 24 hours a day. One is a big, steel box right outside the main entrance of the C Building. The other is a big brown box by the Bakery entrance to the I Building.
