This program is designed to prepare welders for job entry in most phases of the welding industry. The certifications in this program are progressively sequenced for multiple completion points, and the student must take each certification in order, unless prior learning is deemed satisfactory.

The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree requires 10 credits of General Education in addition to all requirements for the Welding Certificate of Completion.

- High school diploma or GED.
- Good eyesight. Glasses are permitted.
- Counselor and instructor interview.
I-BEST
This program has I-BEST support. Students are also required to complete the I-BEST Identification Survey, and will receive an email regarding I-BEST eligibility. Students who place into I-BEST
will also need to complete the LACES Intake Form.
Please note: tests must be paid for at the time of testing.
Failure to do so will result in delay of certification paperwork.
