About Renton Promise

Congratulations to the Class of 2024! We are working with students who want to enroll for the 24-25 Academic Year. Connect with a Renton Promise Program Specialist by emailing RentonPromise@rtc.edu or calling (425) 235-2262.

Renton Promise is an exciting opportunity that allows more Renton students to pursue career training and college transfer opportunities at Renton Technical College by assisting with tuition and fees.

Renton Promise may provide up to full tuition and fees beginning with 2023 Renton School District graduating seniors to attend RTC regardless of grade point average (GPA), income, ability, or country of birth. Students may attend for up to two years until they earn a certificate of completion or their first associate degree – whichever occurs first. Stackable certificates may be earned along the way to associate degree completion within two years while funds last. Graduates from eligible schools may apply for the program within the first year after graduating.

The Renton Promise Grant assists with remaining qualified tuition and fees once federal and state funds are applied. Students who have submitted a valid FAFSA or WASFA and do not qualify for financial aid may still be eligible for a Renton Promise Grant.

The Renton Promise Grant is available on a first-come, first-served basis and may not exceed the student’s allowable budget.

Please complete the Renton Promise Inquiry Form to apply for the Renton Promise Grant.

Who is Eligible?

Students must be verified graduates of Hazen, Lindbergh, Renton, or Talley High School who enroll in RTC Fall, Winter, or Spring Quarter of the Academic Year.

Once enrolled, students must meet the RTC Academic Standards of Progress policy to receive the grant in subsequent quarters.
