Jessica Norouzi, an educational leader with a background in community and technical colleges, has joined the Renton Technical College Board of Trustees.

Gov. Jay Inslee appointed Norouzi effective July 1 to replace Trustee Tyler Page, who served on the board since 2009. Norouzi is the assistant dean for advancement at the University of Washington College of Education. She previously served at Seattle Central College in several positions, most recently executive director for the Office of Strategic Partnerships.

“I remain a fierce advocate for the important role CTCs play in our society and am looking to identify new ways to support their mission,” she said. “I feel a strong connection to RTC’s mission and values.”

Her experience in fundraising, developing community partnerships, and strategic planning will benefit the Board of Trustees as it makes decisions to strengthen the college.
