Commonly known as ESL (English as a Second Language) or ELA (English Language Acquisition), we offer classes at Basic, Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. Foundation classes help you improve all skills:

• Reading 
• Writing 
• Listening 
• Speaking

We also have Focus Area classes in

• Writing 
• Speaking 
• Pronunciation

Classes have a variety of modal options, including face-to-face and online.

The fee is $25 per quarter (waivers are available).

We are currently full for Winter Quarter 2025.

To study English at RTC, you need to complete an English Interest Form. The form will open 10 a.m. on Monday, March 10, and will close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 14. Completing the form does not guarantee that you will be invited to a test.

If you completed the form in November 2024, we will move you to the list of students who are waiting for a testing appointment for Spring Quarter 2025.

If you completed the form before November 2024, you must complete a new English Interest Form.

For Winter 2025 quarter, we had 428 students complete our interest form. Of those, we were able to invite 227 students for testing for winter quarter. Thank you for your patience as you wait for a testing appointment.
