Certificate of Completion
In the Automotive Technology Certificate of Completion program, students are prepared for the challenges of working on today’s sophisticated and complex automobiles. Students learn all aspects of automotive repair and are provided with hands-on training in real-world shop environments using modern state of the art technologically advanced equipment and facilities. Students graduate with an ASE Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Certificate. Students are provided the opportunity for ASE certification in Engine Repair, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Manual Drive Train, Suspension and Steering, Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Heating and Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Advanced Engine Diagnostics. By combining mechanical, electronic, math, communication and problem-solving skills with hands-on training, students develop a solid foundation to ensure their success in the automotive field.

Certificate DetailsAssociate of Applied Science
The Automotive Technology Associate of Applied Science (AAS) program is an option in which students receive training in all eight NATEF/ASE automotive repair areas (Engine Repair, Manual Drive Train, Automatic Transmission, Brakes, Steering and Suspension, Heating and Air Conditioning, Electrical/Electronic Systems, and Engine Performance). Students gain real work experience in the automotive shop environment and develop the competencies of a professional automotive technician. In addition to the technical courses, four General Education courses (20 credits) are required to earn an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree.

OTHER INFORMATION
- High school diploma or GED equivalent recommended.
- High school level courses in math, science, power, or auto mechanics.
- Counselor and instructor interview.
- Hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Insurable to school requirements (good driving record).
- INDS 101 - CPR/First Aid/AED certification is required and offered in the first quarter
of the automotive program
- If you have proof of this certification and it remains valid through graduation, we may be able to give you prior learning credit if deemed equivalent (based on individual circumstances)
