Your generosity created amazing - and to keep the 70's theme going - out of sight moments during the 2024 Student Success Celebration March 2nd!
The stories and smiles from Abdirizak, Adikadir, Bri, and Flor featured in the Student Success video reflected the joy of what is possible when we come together. You said yes to students in a big way and helped us exceed our fundraising goal!
As Bri shared, she could not pursue her dream to be a nurse without the tuition grant she received from the RTC Foundation. For Abdirizak, being an asylee limits his ability to work and tuition grants fill that critical gap so he can earn his cybersecurity degree.

Associate VP of Operations,Trevor Bennett, shared a heartfelt story about his education journey that included community college and service in the United States Air Force.
- A surprise $10,000 gift from Brenda and Steve Charlston kicked-off the Fund-A-Dream and inspired your gifts beyond our expectations with matching funds from philanthropist Mackenzie Scott.
- Hearing the stories of determination and hope from Abdirizak, Bri, and Flor - beautifully captured via video by RTC alumnus Carlos Camargo at 24Creative.
- And That 70's Show best-dressed competition had us all laughing!
Most of all the evening was a wonderful reminder why I love this community and the work we do together to make RTC a place where students can find their place.
