Are you about to graduate from high school from the Renton School District? Did you complete career technical education courses while in high school? Then the Career Launch Scholarship can help you take the next step after graduation. The deadline to apply is April 18, 2025.
- $6,000 per student.
- Funds can be used for tuition and tools, books, or any classroom materials.
- Select a professional-technical program with plans to earn a certification or degree at Renton Technical College (RTC).

Who can access the Career Launch Scholarship:
- You must have taken CTE coursework. This includes dual credit courses.
- Open to Renton School District high school seniors only.
- You must start using the scholarship and enroll at RTC before the end of the calendar year. For example, a student who is awarded spring 2025, must enroll at RTC before December 31, 2025. This includes starting summer, fall, or winter quarter.
- No financial criteria required. Scholarships are reviewed and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. There are currently 25 scholarships available.
- You can utilize the Career Launch Scholarship and the Renton Promise. They are not exclusive, and you are encouraged to apply for both funding sources.
The Career Launch Scholarship is a partnership with the Renton Technical College Foundation and the Renton School District.
