Gov. Bob Ferguson appointed Eric Perry, the City of Renton's Government Affairs Manager, to serve on the Renton Technical College Board of Trustees.

In his city role, Perry leads intergovernmental relations, legislative advocacy, strategic funding initiatives, and stakeholder engagement efforts. He advises city leadership on complex policy matters, develops strategic partnerships, and advances initiatives that support the city's long-term priorities. His expertise and community-centered leadership will be a valuable asset to the Board as the College continues to advance its mission and strategic priorities.

Prior to joining the City of Renton, Eric served as Director of Government Relations at RJL Solutions, representing clients across higher education, healthcare, organized labor, government, and other sectors. He brings extensive experience in public policy, advocacy, and partnership development, along with a deep commitment to expanding access to higher education and workforce development opportunities.

“I've always been passionate about the power of education to open doors, create meaningful careers, and to change lives,” Perry said. “It is a privilege to have the chance to support the amazing work happening at RTC but even more personally, to give back to the amazing Renton community who welcomed my family with open arms.”
