Office365 – Self-Service – Password Reset

  1. Open browser and go to:  https://www.office.com


    Welcome to Office
  2. Click on ‘Can’t access my account’ then click Next


    Sign in
  3. Which type of account?  Choose Work or School and click Next


    Which type of account do you need help with?
  4. Enter your RTC student email username and then type in the verification characters below 
    (example of username:  mbbaker@student.rtc.edu)    Click Next

  5. At the following prompt, Click on ‘I forgot my password’, then click Next


    Get back into your account - why are you having trouble signing in?
  6. To Get back into your account, enter your authentication email or phone number when prompted:


    Get back into your account
  7. You will be sent a verification code.  Enter that code, then you will get prompted to enter a new password
    Type in your new password and confirm.  Click on Finish

    Note: You must choose a strong password that contains a minimum of 8 characters to a maximum of 16 characters. The password must contain a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, and at least one number and one symbol
  8. You will receive confirmation that your password has been reset
