The Renton Technical College Testing Center offers a buffet of exams ranging from certifications to licensing and placement tests.
Whether it’s securing a GED, delving into IT certifications, or pursuing a career in public safety, the Testing Center can help individuals achieve their goals. The range of exams available at the Testing Center is impressive.
Exams include Accuplacer Placement tests for engaging students to specialized exams like ASE for automotive enthusiasts, CLEP for credit-seekers, TEAS for medical careers, AWS, COMPTIA and Microsoft for tech aficionados, the array is vast and inclusive.
Independent proctored exams for distant learners, medical certifications, non-RTC students, communities, businesses, and industries are available to schedule at RTC Testing Center.
Exams can be online, computerized, web-based, or paper and pencil.
The center extends its services to all communities, businesses, and industries.
Fees apply per test.

The mission of the Renton Technical College Testing Center engages a diverse campus and external constituents by offering educational and professional examinations for workforce development and careers in a welcoming, quiet and secure testing environment for the well-being of the individual. We adhere to the National College Testing Association (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines.

National College Testing Association Certification
Renton Technical College’s Testing Center received national certification from National College Testing Association (NCTA). It is the only technical college in Washington and one of a handful in the state to achieve this intensive certification. Criteria for certification are rigorous and are based on the NCTA Professional Standards and Guidelines, which were developed to guide post-secondary test centers in the delivery of quality testing programs.

All personal items such as electronics, phone, food and drink must be stored in the lockers provided, outside of the Testing Center.
Parking is free in unmarked stalls.
Children are not permitted into the Testing Center. Please arrange for childcare.
Animals/pets are not permitted into the Testing Center unless they are a Service Animal. View RTC's Service Animal policy.
