GED (English y Español)

Considered a HS credential, pass exams in four subject areas: ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies.

GED to Diploma Pathway ---> Continue with diploma after GED. Think of GED as a faster way to "test for credit."

GED to College Pathway ---> Continue with free college with RTC after GED until you're 21.

Eligibility: 16 by September 1 of the academic year. Not currently enrolled elsewhere or expecting permission from district to transfer.

Diploma icon

Diploma (High School Level)

Pass classes that award credit until you reach 24 required credits and other diploma milestones like HS Beyond Plan. Faster timeline than typical of a traditional HS.

Eligibility: 16 years old and enough transfer credits to graduate by anticipated graduation year. Students can earn a maximum of 1 credit per month (10 months per school year). Expecting permission from district to transfer or not currently enrolled elsewhere.

Diploma (College Dual-Credit)

Take a mix of high school- and college-level classes for your HS diploma.

Eligibility: 16 years old and demonstrated success in our high school-level classes and orientation before moving into college courses. Expecting permission from district to transfer or not currently enrolled elsewhere. Students wanting to remain enrolled with their district and local high school should explore Running Start.

College Programs icon

Diploma (Associate Degree)

A series of classes resulting in a college associate degree. An associate degree takes an average of two years to complete regardless of how many HS credits a student already has. Students receiving their associate degree are also awarded a HS diploma.

Eligibility: 16 years old and demonstrated success in our high school-level classes and orientation before moving into college courses. Expecting permission from district to transfer or not currently enrolled elsewhere. Students wanting to remain enrolled with their district and local high school should explore Running Start.
