The Career Center (C-104) is the hub for all things jobs! You can come in and use a computer, get help with a resume or cover letter, or schedule a mock interview.

Scheduling an Appointment:

You can schedule an appointment to get help with your Resume, Cover Letter, or Interview help. One of our staff will meet with you one-on-one or as a group to work with you on your application materials. The best option is to schedule a few appointments before you start job hunting. That way, you can get your materials really shining so you’re ready when you start looking!

Handshake

With the recent installment of Handshake, we are encouraging students to utilize this platform to network and access new job openings. To access this resource, students must activate their accounts (or through the app store on mobile devices) and register their information. Here are the steps to activate your Handshake account:

  1. Visit the Handshake website at https://joinhandshake.com/
  2. Click on “Sign up”
  3. Type your college email (ex. Kendra Smith = ksmith@student.rtc.edu)
  4. Add Renton Technical College as your college.
  5. Create a Password and click on “create account”
