The following non-U.S. citizenship statuses are eligible to establish and apply for residency for tuition purposes through the Residence Questionnaire.
Not all immigration statuses are eligible to establish domicile due to different immigration laws. Immigration documentation will be requested as part of the reclassification process.
Students with any qualifying immigration status must provide supporting documentation for the status.
Qualifying Immigration Statuses:
- Current or expired Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status.
- A current Employment Authorization Document (EAD)
- Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
- Refugee
- Asylee
- Pending Adjustment of Status (applied for green card)
- One of the following visa statuses: A, DV, E, G, H-1B, H4, I, K, L1, L2, N, NATO, O, Q, R, S, T, U, or V
- Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) status or Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) status
- Withholding of Removal status or Withholding of Deportation status
- Citizen of the Federated States of Micronesia, Marshall Islands, and Palau
- Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) status
- Canadians who qualify for permanent residence under the Jay Treaty
- Cuban-Haitian Entrants, Conditional Entrants, and Parolees
- US citizen, US national, or US permanent resident (green card)

Dependents (spouse/child) of a qualifying visa holder are eligible to establish bona fide domicile. Review Qualifying Visas.
The following visas are not eligible for domicile or resident tuition: B-1, B-2, C-1, C-2, C-3, C-4, D-1, D-2, F-1, F-2, F-3, H-1B1, H-2A, H-2B, H-3, J-1, J-2, M-1, M-2, M-3, P-1, P-2, P-3, P-4, TD, TN, WB, or WT visa status.
