DTA/MRP Associate of Arts Degrees
Renton Technical College offers three AA DTA/MRP Associate of Arts degree programs that lead to direct transfer to different four-year universities. Begin your career in nursing, business, or computer science at Renton Technical College and in just six quarters, you'll be prepared to finish your bachelor's degree at one of Washington's outstanding universities.
- Associate in Business
- Associate in Computer Science
- Associate in Pre-Nursing (through June 2020)
- Associate in Pre-Nursing (effective July 1, 2020)
Associate of Applied Science Transfer Degrees
Renton Technical College offers several Associate of Applied Science Transfer (AAS-T) degrees as well and has agreements with a number of educational institutions to accept certain course credits earned at RTC. These include the following:
- Capella University
- Central Washington University
- City University
- DeVry University
- The Evergreen State College
- Oregon Institute of Technology
- Shoreline Community College
- University of Phoenix
- Western Governors University
Washington 45
If our DTA/MRP and Associate of Applied Science Transfer degrees don’t fit your plans, you can complete 3 quarters of general education courses, known as the Washington 45, to transfer to a four-year university.

Student Transfer Rights and Responsibilities
The Student Transfer Rights and Responsibilities document outlines student rights and responsibilities as well as the rights and responsibilities of colleges who receive students upon transfer.
Cambridge International (CI)
Washington community and technical colleges will grant a minimum elective credit for each Cambridge International Examination for A-level exam with a passing grade or above for approved examinations. Credit will be awarded on the basis of official Cambridge International Examination results, not transcript notation. Duplicate credit for the same subject taken on different exams will not be granted. No grades are posted for A-level exams.

International Baccalaureate (IB)
Washington community and technical colleges will grant a minimum elective credit for an International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level (HL) exam score of 5 or higher. Credit will be awarded on the basis of official IB results, not transcript notation.
